So here’s little bit about me. My name is Danny and I am originally from Fredericton, New Brunswick. After working for several years as a web designer, a love of animation and video games prompted me to move to Vancouver to study 2D and 3D animation where I graduated from Capilano College in 2005. For my final 3D project I modelled and textured a game environment which I then imported into Unreal Editor. It was very cool being able to run around in the environment I created. If you have a copy of Unreal Tournament 2004 on your PC and are so inclined, feel free to download the level and give it a go.
For the last couple of years I've been teaching Photoshop and Maya (a 3D software package) in Harbin, China. It's part of a joint program between Capilano University in Vancouver and the Harbin University of Science and Technology.
Between 2005 and 2007 I was working at Studio B Productions in Vancouver as a 3D animator on the TV show Being Ian. I was also a character builder and background artist (using the Flash software package) for the TV shows Stroker and Hoop, Pucca, and George of the Jungle.
My primary interests are creating exciting video game environments. Lately I’ve found myself playing a lot of iPhone games. I’m amazed at what can be achieved on such a small platform and look forward to seeing what the iPad brings to mobile game development.
